Beach Clean with Turtle Hatching
Tell Me more...
What? Cleaning up any waste on the beach and then being lucky enough to witness a turtle hatching. A full circle!
Where? Jumba Ruins, Mombasa.
When? There’s always waste on the beach! Turtle hatching along the Kenyan coast is likely from Jan – March and May – August.
Why? To avoid negative effects on marine life and keep our home clean. The turtle hatchings are only possible due to a clean beach.
How? Bags and gloves are needed for the clean up. Check the tide times to ensure there will be some beach available! Go with a group, put on some music and have a good time while doing a great deed for Mama Earth!
Highlight: seeing over 100 turtles that are a few seconds old, make their way to the great ocean and swim away.
