On arrival you’ll be greeted by a specialised guide who will direct you to the canoe. Get comfortable and be ready to set sail in the calm waters of Mida Creek as you take in the beauty that surrounds you.
As the sun sets notice the birds come alive, flocks of birds fly over you, individuals looking for fish prey, building nests and looking after the young. Watch this world come alive as the sky start to change colour. You may even like to try steering the canoe in the local way with a large stick, warning – balance is required!
Take a trip into the mangroves, surrounded by roots and nature. Steer through the narrow lanes as the guide shares knowledge about this area with you. Feel free to ask any questions and take pictures.
4-5 people can fit, though if there are more of you, we can organise extra canoes!
This mostly depends on yourselves, the average time guests spend out on the water is 2hours.
Yes! A community owned restaurant is situated right there, overlooking the water with a broad-walk and great food.
Incredible experience! A big thank you to Omari for taking us on the canoe ride, showing us the beach and sharing stories about the local culture. We had an amazing time and made a friend! 10/10 for customer service. I highly recommend.
Not really a big bird fan, but oh wow this trip was spectacular. Seeing the birds in action, picking fish from the water as they fly closely over. The sunset was also unreal and the mangrove ride.
The guide was incredibly knowledgable, he shared so much information and did his very best to show us a great show. Was also a lot of fun taking over and steering the boat. Thank you!
